Physical Characteristics

Pleurospermum condollei is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.4 m (1ft 4in). The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Insects. The plant is self-fertile. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers moist soil.

Antidote Febrifuge The entire plant is used in Tibetan medicine, where it is considered to have a bitter taste and a cooling potency[241]. Antidote and febrifuge, it is used in the treatment of fevers from poisoning and spreading fever[241].
