It is used in the treatment of syphilis and cutaneous affections. The entire plant is used in Tibetan medicine, where it is considered to have a sweet and bitter taste with a cooling potency. Antidote, anti-inflammatory, febrifuge and vermifuge, it is used in the treatment of disorders from poisoning, swelling of the limbs and stomach/intestinal pain due to worm infestation.
