Pedicularis pyramidata is a PERENNIAL. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs). Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.

Medicinal Uses

The entire plant is used in Tibetan medicine, it is said to have a sweet and astringent taste with a heating potency[241]. Analgesic and diuretic, it is used in the treatment of retained or accumulated fluids in the body, difficulty in micturation, breathlessness, inflammation of the bone/marrow, pain from inflammation and accumulation of serous fluids[241].
