Geranium wallichianum is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.3 m (1ft) by 1.5 m (5ft in). See above for USDA hardiness. It is hardy to UK zone 7. It is in flower from July to September. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Insects. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.

Astringent Odontalgic Poultice Stomachic The plant has astringent properties[211]. A decoction of the root, mixed with the bark of Prunus cerasoides, is used in the treatment of peptic ulcers[272]. It has been used as a cure for toothache and has been applied externally to the eyes[145, 240]. The juice of the plant is applied to fresh cuts to stem the bleeding[272]. A paste of the plant is used as a poultice to relieve joint pains[272].
