Physical Characteristics

Lysimachia christiniae is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.3 m (1ft) by 0.5 m (1ft 8in). It is in flower from May to July. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Insects. The plant is self-fertile. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and can grow in heavy clay soil. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.

A decoction is used in the treatment of abscesses, burns, bites, kidney stones, gallbladder stones, inflammation etc[147, 218, 254]. It is also used to treat mushroom poisoning and drug poisoning[147].
