Urinary All parts of the plant are astringent, the roots being more so than the leaves[207 ]. The plant is also diuretic and vulnerary[207 ]. It is used in the treatment of a variety of disorders including diabetes, urinary incontinence and, when combined with alum and honey, to rid the body of tape worms[207 ]. The roots are used in the treatment of fevers[207 ].
