Agrimonia parviflora is a PERENNIAL growing to 2 m (6ft 7in). It is in flower from June to August, and the seeds ripen from August to September. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Bees, flies. The plant is self-fertile. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers dry or moist soil.
Distribution
Eastern N. America - Connecticut and New York to Florida, west to Texas and Nebraska.

Astringent Febrifuge Urinary A tea made from the whole plant is astringent[222]. It is used in the treatment diarrhoea, bleeding, wounds, inflammation of the gall bladder, urinary incontinence etc[222]. It is gargled as a treatment for mouth ulcers and sore throats[222]. An infusion of the seedpods is used to treat diarrhoea and fevers[257]. An infusion of the root is used as a blood tonic and is given to children to satisfy their hunger[257]. The powdered root has been used to treat pox[257].
