Tetrastigma hemsleyanum is a PERENNIAL CLIMBER. It is in flower from May to June, and the seeds ripen from September to November. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs). Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.

Depurative Febrifuge The root tuber is depurative and febrifuge[147]. It stimulates blood circulation and relaxes the muscles[147]. It is used internally in decoction, or the crushed root can be used externally as a poultice.
